Sedro Woolley Museum

Sedro Woolley Museum

A sincere and warm thanks to Carolyn for allowing us to investigate the Sedro Woolley Museum on January 29th. We certainly enjoyed our time there. We learned so much from the tour! Being a history buff, I know I will be going back to learn more about Sedro Woolley’s rich and colorful past.

We captured some very interesting audio and video during our investigation.

1. The first EVP was captured in what is called the “Hospital Room”, where artifacts from Northern State Hospital are kept. You will hear my footsteps, and in between two of my footsteps, you will hear what appears to be a male voice, which sounds as if someone is “groaning“.

2. The next one occured just about two minutes later and sounds very similar to the first. It also sounds as if someone is “groaning“.

3. The third EVP occurred not long after the second. In this clip, you will first hear the second EVP followed by the third. It appears to be saying “Get out!
Turn down your headphones to about 25% for this one. It is a louder version of the “Get out!” portion of the previous clip.

Here are 4 video clips from our short 15 minute mini-mag-lite session in the “Hospital Room”.

2. Mag-lite II

Double trouble mini-maglite sessions at Northern State farm

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

An interesting evening was spent at Northern State October 2, 2010. During our investigation of the horse stables, Carmen and I attempted commmunication with the spirits using trigger objects (small infaltable toy ball, pendulum) and other devices (mag-lite flashlights, KII meter). Here are 5 video clips from our short 1 hour investigation that night.

More voices from Northern State.

Monday, September 20th, 2010

I spent a short evening (about 2 hours) at Northern State farm area on Sept. 11, 2010 and recorded these two voices. My recorders also picked up several distant spirit conversations, but I could not discern what was being said.

1. The first one occured when I asked whoever was there to try again (using the PX box). He responded “I already tried it.” This was recorded on my Sony digital recorder.

2. The second one was excerpted from the radio box session recorded on my Olympus digital recorder. It’s fairly quick, so listen carefully. It says “They left me to rot here.

Interesting sessions with the Mini Maglite and Ghost Box

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

While at Northern State farm buildings the other night (August 24), I decided to experiment with a Mini Maglite. I had heard of the technique, but had never attempted it before and was reluctant to do so because I was skeptical. However, after my first experience with it, I intend to use it more often.

At the beginning of the Mini Maglite session, I instructed anyone present on how to turn on the Mini Maglite. I then made the request to turn it on. I got a response that said:
I already know how to!

After the Mini Maglite session, I conducted a short ghost box session with my Memorex radio and speakers. I made a request: “So the person that was here with me, with the flashlight, can you tell me your name, your full name please?” He responded:
My name is Bankrupt Bill.” So it makes sense that if he is bankrupt, that he might just be desperate enough to steal something (video 5), get arrested for it (video 1), and taken to Northern State Hospital for his actions. My evidence comfirms it for me. I was talking with “Bankrupt Bill” from Northern State that night.

During the ghost box session I also asked the question: “What did you steal?” He responded with
(unknown)...It was a bad robbery.

Watch these videos and let me know what you think.

Note: There is no electricity in any of the farm buildings at Northern State.

Wellington: August 6, 2010

Monday, August 9th, 2010

I made another trip to Wellington, WA on August 6, 2010. I was there for the entire day and well into the night. In the evening, I met up with Bert and Jayme of NWPIA, Tom and Jami of BGH, Scott of ParaWa and others. Although I did not have any personal experiences with the paranomal that night, it was great to meet with all of them and to learn more new things about investigating.

Earlier in the day, I was conducting several EVP sessions in the snow shed. Durinng one particular session, I picked up the voice of “a child singing or humming.“. I did not hear this at the time it happened.

A reveiw of the recording of a ghost box session I made ealier in the day revealed three interesting voices.

1. Just 46 seconds into the ghost box session, a voice says “Grandpa. It's Albert.“. Among the dead of the Wellington disaster were two people with the name Albert: Albert Boles and Albert G. Mahler.

2. Another one says “Paul. Listen. It's me, (Ben?).“. Among the dead of the Wellington disaster were two people with the name Ben or Benjamin: Benjamin G. Thompson, and Benjamin F. Jarnagan, 31, engineer.

3. The third ghost box voice was a direct response to my request. I said “If you can hear my voice, tell me what color the chair is that I am sitting in.” The immediate response: “It's blue.“. I was in fact sitting in a blue folding chair.

Fear of dying…

Monday, July 26th, 2010

July 24/25 at Northern State
In this conversation, one spirit expresses her/his fear of dying when one spirit asks: “What is it?” The second spirit immediately responds: “I don't wanna die!“.

Spirits poking fun at me at Northern State farm area

Monday, July 26th, 2010

I captured these and several other voices on my recorder while at Northern State farm area the other night (July 24/25). I was standing perfectly still, out in the open in between the farm buildings, when two spirits chime in: “'(1st spirit) What happened, Paul? You're quiet....(2nd spirit) You don't have to do ANYTHING to be crazy.“. I couldn’t agree more. In fact, aren’t we all just a little bit crazy?

Another Wellington ghost box EVP…

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

While re-listening to the ‘ghost box’ audio files from my first Wellington visit (June 18, 2010), I discovered another interesting EVP. It sounds like a female voice singing
'You promised me, did you not?' then a male voice says 'Yes!'“.

Wellington Avalanche Disaster, March 1, 1910.

Monday, June 21st, 2010

June 18, 2010
It was my first visit to the site of the March 1, 1910 Wellington (now Tye) train disaster in which 96 or more people died. There I met up with Bert and Jayme Coates of NWPIA. They have made many investigations of this location and are very well versed in the history and events which transpired there. They were kind in sharing their paranormal experiences. One of their experiences involved the sighting of an apparition which had no face, hence the nick-name “no-face”. On the evening of June 18, 2010 they allowed me to record their “ghost box” session, in which two very interesting voices were captured on my digital recorder. When I finally realized what was being said in this first one, it shocked me to my bones.
Henry, I feel like I've lost my face.

New EVP from Northern State Rec Area

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

I captured this EVP last night from one of the buildings at Northern State Recreation Area. The voice seems to be saying “Hello?............No more hot baths!

Given the above, it is evident that hot baths may have been used as a treatment for some at the Northern State Hospital.
